Yes on both counts. Arizona exempts household pets — dogs, cats, and other domestic animals — with no dollar limit under A.R.S. § 33-1125. Your family pets are never at risk in a bankruptcy.
Firearms are exempt up to $2,000 in total value. Arizona also separately exempts horses, milk cows, and poultry up to $1,000, and military arms and uniforms required by law without limit.
These fixed amounts do not receive annual inflation adjustments, unlike the homestead and vehicle exemptions.
This page is general legal information, not legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Exemption figures were verified against official sources in August 2026; inflation-adjusted amounts (including Arizona's Prop 209 figures and county median homestead values) are computed estimates that change annually and should be confirmed by an attorney for your petition date.
